Victim Status

Proceeds with the twenty-third amendment to the Code of Criminal Procedure and approves the Statute of the Victim, transposing Directive 2012/29/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of October 25, 2012, establishing rules on the rights, support and protection of victims of crime and replacing Council Framework Decision 2001/220/JHA of March 15, 2001

Compensation for Victims of Crime

Approves the system for granting compensation to victims of violent crimes and domestic violence
Regulates the transmission of data and the electronic processing of cases relating to applications submitted by victims of violent crimes and domestic violence to the Commission for the Protection of Crime Victims, for the granting of advance compensation by the State, and approves the application forms attached
Proceeds with the fourth amendment to Decree-Law no. 423/91, of October 30, transposing into national law Council Directive no. 2004/80/EC, of April 29, on compensation to crime victims

Domestic Violence

Establishes the legal regime applicable to the prevention of domestic violence

Establishes the conditions for the initial use of technical means of teleassistance, aimed at guaranteeing victims of domestic violence adequate support, protection and safety

Regulates the conditions for the organization, operation and supervision of shelters
Guarantees adequate protection for women victims of violence
