Are you a defendant in criminal proceedings, and was a monetary payment order imposed on you under the provisional suspension of the proceedings?

Article 281(2)(c) of the Code of Criminal Procedure provides that a monetary payment order may be imposed on the defendant, requiring him, for the purposes of compliance, "to deliver a specified sum to the State or to private social solidarity institutions (…)", and the Commission for the Protection of Crime Victims may be designated as the beneficiary.

In this case, you must mandatorily proceed as follows:

  1. make the payment by bank transfer to IBAN PT50 0781 01120 11200 1424 006 / BIC: IGCPPTPL;
  2. send the Commission proof of payment, together with the court order imposing the injunction.

The documents should preferably be sent by e-mail to correio.cpvc@sg.mj.pt. A valid email address must be provided for the subsequent sending of the payment confirmation statement.
